Really? I mean… REALLY? When I think of Ezra Klein, I think of one of the most promising political analyst in the country. I think of a very intelligent human being that crosses his t’s and dots his i’s in just about everything he makes a commentary on. I enjoy his political discourse in every way but last night during #TheEdShow on #MSNBC I cannot describe how jaw dropping the analysis of QE3 having a positive effect on the unemployed was all kinds of wrong – in my opinion of course. I want to stress the importance of how much I respect this gentleman before I get into my problems with his views. I am nowhere near accusing Ezra of misleading us on this issue, I think it is very possible his superior analytical understanding of our macro economics leads him to this conclusion. And in this respect he is more than right. Fundamentally speaking, this move by the fed will in fact support the creation of jobs and create security for large institutions to create more jobs hypothetically – in the long run. But when you say, “Unemployed, someone has your back. Bernanke announces #QE3″; and then go on to explain how in a perfect world this means everyone will suddenly get back to work, we are only kidding ourselves by looking at this issue from this perspective. As stated before, this may perhaps stimulate new job growth. But not nearly as many jobs that are needed to really [...]

As the civil war in Syria rages on, the world watches astonished by the smug attitudes of disdain and disregard of any United Nations cues to the International community regarding any peace efforts. Kofi Annan, the United Nations envoy for peace has walked away from the task in frustration as the lack of credibility within the United Nations soars to new unprecedented heights in the face of a growing humanitarian crisis. Legitimate arguments for the cuase of this problem in the United Nations could be cited for hundreds of reasons but one major event sticks out in my mind more than anything else. The Bush administration’s unilateral decision to form an International Coalition to remove Saddam Hussein from power following a failed vote in the United Nations to sanction any action against the Middle Eastern Nation. Years later, this very slap in the face of this International governing body is being thrown back in the face of a frustrated Western lobby trying to secure a biased United Nations condemnation of Syria’s Bashar Al Assad. Add to this the fact that Assad has called out these terrorists, who have hijacked a would-be platform for political reform in Syria and instead turned the whole farce on it’s head and have created an atmosphere of civil war and violence – identifying these ‘rebels’ exactly what they are, terrorists. What can only be viewed as one of the most hypocritical moves in United Nations history, the United States for the Second time in less [...]
